Kelsea Ballerini proved that she has true musical talent by wowing the crowd with an acoustic set at The Reef in Biloxi, MS. Joined by three of her band mates on stage (acoustic guitar, bass and cajon/percussion) , Kelsea thrived in the scaled back, intimate setting. With a winning, confident smile, she moved from song to song effortlessly, ever engaging the crowd along the way.
It gave the feeling you were at a backyard shindig just hanging out with some friends (who can really play and sing). One of the many highlights was a cover of the current Little Big Town hit “Girl Crush”, which she admitted to being “obsessed” with. Kelsea also revealed “Dibs”, as the next radio single from her debut album “The First Time”. She capped the show with her recent number one hit “Love Me Like You Mean It”.
Following the show, Kelsea stayed to mingle with the crowd for photos and casual conversation. This talented young singer/songwriter is someone that you just “like” right away when you first meet them. Very genuine, open and down to earth. By the way, did I mention she can really sing. If she is this good in a bare bones situation, where talent takes over and separates the pretenders from the contenders, I can’t wait to hear her in a full blown production.
