Daron Norwood was found dead in his apartment Wednesday by his landlord. Early reports by authorities indicate no foul play was involved.
Norwood broke through in the early 90’s with two top 40 country singles on his self titled debut album. “If It Wasn’t For Her I Wouldn’t Have You” peaked at 26 and “Cowboys Don’t Cry” at number 24 on the Billboard country music chart. In an interview with Country Weekly in 2002, Norwood admitted alcohol and drug abuse early in his career. He went on to say that he’d been sober since 1995.
