Canadian progressive rockers Saga plan to wind things down for the group. The official announcement was made by front-man Michael Sadler on his twitter account. The official Saga website also lists the statement and has the group currently scheduled for 18 dates between February and August with more likely to be added. They will wrap it up with the 2018 Cruise to the Edge performance.
The group was formed in 1977 in Oakville, Ontario by Sadler, guitarist Ian Chichton and his brother, bassist Jim Chichton. Original drummer Steve Negus announced his retirement in 2003.
The current line-up is rounded out with Jim Gilmour on keyboards and Mike Thorne on drums. Saga has released 21 albums over 40 years.
